Who I Am
Before becoming a licensed therapist, and founder of Texas Grief Therapy, I built a diverse career — from news and operations management to working with the biggest brands at the world’s largest ad agency in NYC, and helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses. Along the way, I learned a lot about people: what drives them, what challenges them, and what gives them hope.
After years of working in fast-paced environments, I turned to yoga as a way to reconnect with my body and find healing. What started as a personal journey became a decade of teaching yoga in Austin, Texas, guiding others to find balance and resilience through mindful movement.
Then life brought a major health crisis that forced me to hit rock bottom, mentally and physically. Through that experience and the support of a compassionate counselor, I discovered that healing — while not always easy — can lead to a life that’s just as meaningful, if not more so.
Since then, I earned my master’s degree in counseling and have been deeply committed to helping others navigate life’s toughest moments. While in graduate school, I ran a coaching practice called My Best Path, where I supported clients through crises—including helping someone move from suicidal despair to stability. I’ve worked extensively with individuals and children, receiving heartfelt feedback from parents about noticeable, positive behavioral changes. With over 150 hours focused on grief and loss, I bring both hands-on experience and empathy to every session.
I also co-operate a small farm in Driftwood, Texas, where I’ve learned that healing, like farming, takes patience, care, and the right environment to grow. (I’ve been a Central Texas Gardener for 20 years. And in my spare time I love hanging with my dog Charlie and my partner.)
My approach combines empathy, lived experience, and practical strategies — because no matter how stuck you feel, there’s always a way forward. And sometimes, that path leads somewhere unexpected and beautiful.
